The Volunteer Center of Washington County exists to mobilize people and resources for creative solutions to community needs.  Are you interested in helping with the basic human needs of Washington County?

OUR PROGRAMS ASSIST THE COMMUNITY IN MANY WAYS:

Literacy - Help strengthen literacy or language skills for children or adults in the community. Foster Grandparents and other volunteers dedicate many hours to the children of the Washington County School District.

Homelessness - There are many in the community with no place to live.  Can you help address this important need?

Re-entry - During incarceration, RSVP Volunteers have the opportunity  to provide inmates with knowledge, skills and abilities they will need to increase the probability of their success upon release.

Emergency Preparedness & Management - Join the SW Utah Regional Citizen Corps Council - be trained to assist first responders in the event of a community  emergency.  Help make Washington County disaster resistant and disaster resilient.

Youth Intervention: Our Youth Court Programs in the St. George area and Hurricane Valley are designed to help first time youth offenders guilty of minor crimes to be responsible for their actions and to become better citizens.

A List of our programs can be found on the left of this page. If you are interested in volunteering in the community, please contact us! We would love to have you!
